Basketball Recap: Cherry Hill West Comes Up Short

Cherry Hill West was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat. They fell 44-35 to the Holy Cross Lancers. The match marked the Lions' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Emmanuel Doku was his usual excellent self, going 8 for 14 en route to 17 points and seven rebounds for Holy Cross. Another player making a difference was Jordan Owens, who posted 13 points and five boards.

Cherry Hill West's loss dropped their record down to 5-4. As for Holy Cross, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 8-4.

Cherry Hill West wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 60-27 defeat against Rancocas Valley on the 23rd. As for Holy Cross, they also didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 52-31 victory against King's Christian on the 21st.
