Volleyball Recap: Appleton North Beats Appleton East for Their Sixth Straight Win

Appleton North came tearing into Monday's contest with five straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Appleton East Patriots. The Lightning have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

The 3-0 score doesn't show just how dominant Appleton North was: they took every set by at least 11 points. The final score came out to 25-9, 25-13, 25-14.

SAMUEL KUEHL paced Appleton North's offense, picking up nine kills. KUEHL got some help from SPENCER MUNSON and his 20 assists. KUEHL also made an impact serving: he shared the team lead in aces with SAOLAI THAO, each putting up two.

Appleton North's victory bumped their record up to 31-7. As for Appleton East, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-9.

Coming up, Appleton North will face off against Hortonville at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The Lightning are facing the Polar Bears at the right time seeing as the Polar Bears are stuck on a six-game losing streak. As for Appleton East, they will challenge Kimberly at 5:00 p.m. on Friday.
