Basketball Recap: Field Takes a Loss

Field was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their ninth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the St. Anselm's Abbey Panthers and fell 63-29. The Falcons were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 45-13.

St. Anselm's Abbey found their leader in sophomore Max Leeman, who went 7 of 9 on his way to 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Rooke Payne, who went 5 for 7 en route to 12 points.

Field's loss dropped their record down to 0-8. As for St. Anselm's Abbey, their win was their ninth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-3.

Field will venture away from home to challenge Washington Christian Academy at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. St. Anselm's Abbey has already played their next game, a 52-51 defeat against Georgetown Day on the 25th.
