Soccer Recap: Catawba Ridge Find Success

Two teams were on the hunt for playoff glory, but only Catawba Ridge walked away with it. They won by a goal and slipped past the Easley Green Wave 2-1. That's more bragging rights for Catawba Ridge, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Joshua Zawlocki was the driving force of Catawba Ridge's attack as he scored both of Catawba Ridge's goals, bringing his season total up to 23 goals.

Catawba Ridge's victory was their third straight at home, which pushed their record up to 15-4. Those home wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored ten goals over those three matches. As for Easley, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-13-1.

Coming up, Catawba Ridge will host Greenville at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Greenville will roll in looking for their fifth straight victory, something Catawba Ridge surely won't give up without a fight. Easley does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
