Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Beechwood). They blew past the Owen County Rebels 68-6 on Friday. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 49-0.
A big part of Beechwood's win came down to the chemistry between Emmett Queen and his top target Tyler Fryman. Queen threw for 140 yards and four TDs while completing 80% of his passes while Fryman gained 122 total yards and five touchdowns. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Coppage, who threw for 116 yards and a pair of touchdowns.
Special teams was a major factor in the game for Beechwood, racking up 20 points in total. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Fryman, who ran a punt back for a touchdown. Another bright spot was a kickoff return touchdown from Kyle Ritter.
Beechwood's victory bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Owen County, they now have a losing record of 2-3.
