Basketball Game Preview: Charlestown Pirates vs. Scottsburg Warriors

The Charlestown Pirates will challenge the Scottsburg Warriors at 7:30 p.m. on Thursday.

Charlestown is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Silver Creek on Tuesday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Pirates lost 67-43 to the Dragons.

Meanwhile, Scottsburg took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Wednesday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Austin 73-38. The Warriors haven't had any issues with the Eagles recently, as the game was their eighth consecutive victory against them.

Charlestown was able to grind out a solid win over Scottsburg when the teams last played back in December of 2024, winning 62-49. Will the Pirates repeat their success, or do the Warriors have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
