Coalfield waltzed into their contest on Friday with five straight wins... but they left with six. Their defense stepped up to hand the Wartburg Central Bulldogs a 55-0 shutout. The Yellow Jackets have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bulldogs, too.

Jaiden Bunch had a dynamite game, rushing for 159 yards and three TDs on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Hadyn Headrick, who gained 107 total yards.

They were just one part of a punishing run game: Coalfield was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 314 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.

Coalfield's record is now 6-2. As for Wartburg Central, they dropped their record down to 2-6 with the defeat, which was their fourth straight at home.

Looking ahead, Coalfield will welcome Greenback at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams might be coming in a bit winded given these two teams combined for 891 yards in their previous games. As for Wartburg Central, they are taking a road trip to challenge Scott at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
