Baseball Recap: Amsterdam Comes Up Short

Amsterdam lost to Queensbury on Monday and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Rams came up short against the Spartans, falling 8-2. The Rams have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Amsterdam saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Yojanse Rodriguez, who went 2-for-4 with one RBI.

Amsterdam's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Queensbury, their victory bumped their record up to 11-7.

Coming up, Amsterdam will be playing at home against Cobleskill-Richmondville at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Rams' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Bulldogs have averaged an impressive 9.9 runs per game this season. As for Queensbury, they will venture away from home to face off against Shenendehowa at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
