It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Bishop Moore can now relate to. They lost 9-2 to the Mulberry Panthers on Monday. The Hornets' loss signaled the end of their seven-game winning streak.

Drew Kunz was a force to be reckoned with on the mound despite the final result: he struck out six batters over five innings while giving up just two earned (and two unearned) runs off five hits. He has been consistent: he hasn't tossed less than five strikeouts in seven consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Bishop Moore saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was James Schermerhorn, who went 1-for-2 with one RBI.

Bishop Moore's defeat dropped their record down to 24-8. As for Mulberry, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine games. That's provided a nice bump to their 25-8 record this season.

While Bishop Moore had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
