Volleyball Recap: Pine View Comes Up Short

Pine View lost against Canyon View back in August of 2022, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Falcons. The Panthers have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Pine View was held off the scoreboard, but that almost wasn't the case: they kept the first set very close. The final score came out to 25-23, 25-14, 25-17.

Kiera Samfong paced Pine View's offense, picking up six kills. Samfong got some help from Emma Schuman and her 14 assists. Samfong also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Kenedy Eves, racking up two apiece.

Pine View's loss dropped their record down to 3-5. As for Canyon View, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-1.

After both having extra time off, Pine View and Desert Hills will shake off the cobwebs and hit the court against one another at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Canyon View, they will be taking part in a tournament against Westlake at 12:00 p.m. on Friday.
