Baseball Recap: Jackson South Side Takes a Loss

If Jackson South Side was feeling good fresh off their 30-0 takedown of Liberty Tech Magnet last Wednesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Hawks fell just short of the Lexington Tigers by a score of 5-3 on Monday. The Hawks were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Tigers apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2025.

Jackson South Side has also been struggling recently as they've lost eight of their last ten contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-11 record this season. As for Lexington, they have been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games. That's provided a nice bump to their 19-8 record this season.

While Jackson South Side had to take the loss, they won't have to wait long to give it another shot: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
