Nelson County won the last time they faced Hart County and things went their way on Monday too. The Cardinals sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 6-5 win over the Raiders.

J Mcclain looked comfortable as he tossed 1.1 innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. He has been consistent for a while: he hasn't given up more than two walks in 14 consecutive appearances.

On the hitting side, Nelson County let Kaden Simpson and J Mcknight run wild. Simpson got on base in three of his four plate appearances with one home run, while Mcknight got on base in all four of his plate appearances with two runs. The team also got some help courtesy of D Minter, who went 2-for-4 with two doubles and one run.

Nelson County's victory bumped their record up to 18-10. As for Hart County, they moved to 16-19-1 with that defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Nelson County will host North Bullitt at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.2 runs per game this season, so the Cardinals' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Hart County, they will be playing at home against Thomas Nelson at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
