Soccer Game Preview: Bishop Kenny vs. Episcopal School of Jacksonville

The Bishop Kenny Crusaders will take on the Episcopal School of Jacksonville Eagles at 7:20 p.m. on Monday. Bishop Kenny's offense has struggled lately (the team hasn't scored more than a single goal for three straight games), a trend the team is no doubt ready to end.

Bishop Kenny lost 5-1 to Nease on Saturday. Things were pretty much settled by the half as the Crusaders were already down 3-0.

Meanwhile, Episcopal School of Jacksonville kept a clean sheet against Tocoi Creek on Thursday. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 1-0 win over the Toros. Joshua Jenkins had the honor of scoring the game-winner for the Eagles.

Bishop Kenny's loss dropped their record down to 7-5-1. As for Episcopal School of Jacksonville, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-2-2 record this season.

Bishop Kenny was able to grind out a solid victory over Episcopal School of Jacksonville in their previous meeting back in January of 2024, winning 3-1. The rematch might be a little tougher for Bishop Kenny since the squad won't have the home-pitch advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
