Football Recap: Kelly Catholic Comes Up Short

Kelly Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They received a blow as they fell 26-12 to the Coldspring-Oakhurst Trojans. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Bulldogs of the 44-14 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in September of 2024.

Kelly Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, their victory (their first of the season) made their record 1-3.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Kelly Catholic will head out to face off against Colmesneil at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Coldspring-Oakhurst, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Kirbyville at 7:30 p.m. on October 3.
