Coolidge was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They were outmatched by the Douglass Indians and fell 68-40. On the bright side, the 40- point effort marked the Yellowjackets' highest-scoring matchup to date.

Coolidge's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Douglass, the win (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 8-3.

Looking ahead, Coolidge won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Bullard at 9:20 a.m. on Friday. As for Douglass, they will face off against Shelbyville at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
