The Lockhart Lions will be taking part in a tournament against the Cedar Creek Eagles at 8:00 a.m. on Thursday. Lockhart is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 3.4 goals per game this season.

On Tuesday, Lockhart rang in the new year with a 3-1 win over Seguin. The victory continues a trend for Lockhart in their matchups with Seguin: they've now won eight in a row.

Lockhart hit Seguin with a three-pronged attack, as the team got scores from Eduardo Mora, Brayan Martinez, and Antonio Rios.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Cedar Creek). They won by a goal and slipped past El Campo 3-2.

Lockhart's win bumped their record up to 4-1. As for Cedar Creek, the victory got them back to even at 1-1-2.

Lockhart came out on top in a nail-biter against Cedar Creek in their previous matchup back in January of 2025, sneaking past 1-0. Will the Lions repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
