Football Recap: Cherokee Starts Season with Victory Against Middletown South + How To Watch

Cherokee had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. In a tight matchup that could have gone either way, they made off with a 27-26 victory over the Middletown South Eagles. That result was just more of the same for these two, as the Chiefs also won the last time the pair played back in August of 2024.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Cherokee will host Lenape at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Middletown South, they will look to defend their home field on September 5 against Manalapan at 7:00 p.m.
