Football Recap: Chillicothe Comes Up Short

Chillicothe started off well but failed to capitalize on an early lead against Maryville. They lost 31-7 to the Spoofhounds on Friday. The Hornets were not able to make up for their loss to the Spoofhounds from their previous meeting back in November of 2024.

Even if they lost, Chillicothe's defensive line still kept up the pressure with four sacks. Jaishon White was particularly dangerous to the passing game, picking up three himself. Chillicothe got some further help from Henry Hurtgen: he made 13 total tackles (3.5 for loss).

Chillicothe is on a four-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3. As for Maryville, they now have a winning record of 2-1.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chillicothe will head out to take on Cameron at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Maryville, they will venture away from home to square off against Lincoln College Prep at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
