Palm Beach Central barely beat Port Charlotte the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. Palm Beach Central put the hurt on Port Charlotte with a sharp  15-3 win on Monday. Considering the Broncos have won six contests by more than six  runs this season, Monday's  blowout was nothing new.
 Charlie Houd tossed a big game,   not allowing a single  earned run while striking out seven over 5.1 innings pitched. He has been nothing but reliable on the mound: he hasn't  given up  more than one  earned run in six consecutive appearances.
 At the plate,  Luis Sousa was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with two  triples, five  RBI,  and three  runs. Those  five  RBI gave  him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was  Slade Wayne, who  scored a  run and  stole a base while going 1-for-5.
 Palm Beach Central was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .375. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Port Charlotte only posted a  batting average of  .185.
Palm Beach Central has  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won seven of their last eight matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 13-4 record  this season. Those  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.9 runs on average over those games. Port Charlotte has  been struggling recently as they've  lost five of their last six games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 7-9 record  this season.
 Palm Beach Central will head out on the road to  face off against  Imagine School at North Port  at 6:30  p.m.  on Tuesday. As for Port Charlotte, they will look to defend their home field  on Wednesday against Mariner  at 7:00  p.m.
