            Chesterton hadn't done well against Crown Point recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Thursday. The Chesterton Trojans came out on top against the Crown Point Bulldogs by a score of  49-37. This was payback for the Trojans, who suffered  a  45-43  loss the last time these two teams met.

 Crown Point's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was   Ivy Henderson, who  put up nine points and five  boards.  Ava Richie was another key player,  putting up nine  points along with six  rebounds and three  steals.
Chesterton has  been performing  well recently as they've  won three of their last four contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 13-8 record  this season. Those victories came thanks to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 54.8 points per game. As for Crown Point, their loss was  their fourth straight on the road, which  dropped their record down to 11-11.
 Both  squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Chesterton will take on Andrean at 7:00  p.m.  on January 31st. As for Crown Point, they will challenge Hanover Central at 7:00  p.m.  on January 30th. Crown Point is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 51  points per game  this season.
