Baseball Game Preview: Riverdale Falcons vs. Arlington Red Devils

The Riverdale Falcons will challenge the Arlington Red Devils at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Riverdale has given up an average of 7.7 runs per game this season, but Wednesday's game will give them a chance to turn things around.

Riverdale came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They came up short against Van Buren, falling 19-2.

Riverdale saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kydin Reed, who went 1-for-2 with two RBI.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Arlington). Everything went their way against Ridgedale on Tuesday as they made off with a 13-3 win. The team's explosion at the plate also rewarded the Red Devils with their most commanding win of the season.

Riverdale has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost five of their last six matches. That's put a noticeable dent in their 9-10 record this season. As for Arlington, their victory bumped their record up to 4-14.

Everything went Riverdale's way against Arlington in their previous matchup back in May of 2024, as Riverdale made off with an 11-1 win. Do the Falcons have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Red Devils turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
