Basketball Recap: Zion Christian Comes Up Short

If Zion Christian was riding high fresh off their 59-27 takedown of Wellspring Prep last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Zion Christian Mountaineers fell just short of the Muskegon Catholic Central Crusaders by a score of 60-58 on Thursday. The Mountaineers were not able to repeat the success they had when they faced the Crusaders earlier this season, when they won 48-44.

Zion Christian's loss dropped their record down to 14-7. As for Muskegon Catholic Central, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 10-8.

Looking ahead, Zion Christian will challenge Algoma Christian at 6:15 p.m. on Monday. One thing working in Algoma Christian's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last three matches. As for Muskegon Catholic Central, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 67-65 victory against Lee on the 21st.
