Basketball Game Preview: Whiteland Warriors vs. Columbus North Bull Dogs

The Whiteland Warriors will square off against the Columbus North Bull Dogs at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Whiteland will be strutting in after a victory while Columbus North will be coming in after a loss.

Whiteland is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. Couldn't have asked for a better way to wrap up 2024 than the 72-43 stomp they got against Anderson. The win was some much needed relief for the Warriors as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.

Meanwhile, Columbus North unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Saturday. They lost to Franklin Central on the road by a 62-45 margin.

Despite the defeat, Columbus North saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Kaylie Harmon went 6 of 10 on her way to 15 points. The contest was Harmon's sixth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Terry, who posted six points and six rebounds.

Whiteland's victory bumped their record up to 5-10. As for Columbus North, their loss dropped their record down to 13-2.

Whiteland didn't have too much breathing room in their matchup against Columbus North in their previous meeting back in January of 2018, but they still walked away with a 62-56 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Whiteland since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
