The Salmon River Savages will challenge the Wallace Miners at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Salmon River is headed in fresh off scoring the most points they have all season. They blew past Cascade 71-6 on Friday. With the Savages ahead 57-0 at the half, the game was all but over already.

Riley Davis was his usual excellent self, rushing for 260 yards and four TDs on only 13 carries. Those 260 rushing yards gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Malachi Cable, who rushed for 70 yards and one touchdown.
They were just one part of a punishing run game: Salmon River was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 350 rushing yards. That's the most rushing yards they've managed all season.
Salmon River didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off three passes before the game was over. It was truly a group effort as Davis, Zayden Rambo, and Cable picked up one apiece. Davis also rushed for 260 rushing yards, which is notable because Salmon River is undefeated when he posts at least 80 rushing yards, but 0-3 otherwise. Rambo got in on the action too, converting a pick into a touchdown.
The home team had won the previous five meetings between Wallace and Lakeside, and Wallace kept the tradition alive. The Miners really took it to the Knights for the full four quarters, racking up an 80-0 victory. The Miners pushed the score to 64-0 by the end of the third, a deficit the Knights had no chance of recovering from.
Salmon River better keep an eye on Cooper Miller. He was instrumental in Wallace's win, throwing for 245 yards and eight TDs, while also rushing for 66 yards and a pair of scores. Thanks to that big game, Miller is now up to 30 passing touchdowns on the season. Henry Larson was Miller's top target, picking up 49 receiving yards and three touchdowns.
One reason for the win was Wallace's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for 4.5 sacks. Lakeside's QB won't forget Reece Williams anytime soon given he sacked him three times. Wallace got some further help from Marley Pearce: he picked up 1.5 sacks and made 13 total tackles.
Salmon River's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Wallace, their victory bumped their record up to 7-2.
