Basketball Recap: Coral Shores Takes a Loss

Coral Shores lost against Key West back in January and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Coral Shores Hurricanes took a blow against the Key West Conchs, falling 59-23. The Hurricanes were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 37-6.

Key West's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tramane Scott, who posted eight points and 11 rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of James Osborne, who had seven points.

Coral Shores is on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6. As for Key West, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Coral Shores will have a little extra prep time after the loss as they won't be playing again for a while. They'll take on Palmer Trinity at 5:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025. As for Key West, they will head out on the road to face off against Somerset Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
