Basketball Recap: Denaijah Jacobs' Big Game Can't Quite Lead Warren Central over North Central

It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Warren Central can now relate to. They took a 47-38 hit to the loss column at the hands of the North Central Panthers on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Warriors this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 71-29 last Friday.

Several Warriors players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Denaijah Jacobs, who posted eight points and five boards. Another player making a difference was Acelynn Durham, who scored two points and five rebounds.

Warren Central is on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-9. As for North Central, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 6-16.

Warren Central does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for North Central, they will take on Lawrence Central at 7:45 p.m. on Friday. Lawrence Central knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully North Central likes a good challenge.
