Softball Recap: West Springfield Comes Up Short

West Springfield was not able to break out of their rough patch on Sunday as the team picked up their 11th straight loss. They lost 16-0 to the Granby Rams. The shutout was out of character for the Terriers seeing as the last time the team failed to score was back in April.

West Springfield's defeat dropped their record down to 2-16. As for Granby, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-3.

Coming up, West Springfield will venture away from home to take on Holyoke at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Granby, they will square off against Pioneer Valley Regional at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Panthers have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 6.93 runs per game on average), something the Rams will no doubt try to take advantage of.
