In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Kai McDowell, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with two stolen bases, three RBI, and two runs. Another player making a difference was Zach Roth, who got on base in two of his three plate appearances with three runs and two RBI.

Woodland's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Saxony Lutheran has hit smart this season, having averaged an OBP of .470. It's a different story for Woodland, though, as they've only averaged .279. Will they be able to contain Saxony Lutheran's hitters?
Saxony Lutheran was able to grind out a solid victory over Woodland in their previous meeting back in April of 2024, winning 10-6. Do the Crusaders have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Cardinals turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
