Volleyball Recap: Long Prairie-Grey Eagle Starts Season with Win Against Laporte

Long Prairie-Grey Eagle took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Thursday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Laporte Wildcats. The Thunder were shut out 3-0 the last time they took on the Wildcats, so the Thunder were just returning the favor.

Having lost for the first time this season, Laporte fell to 2-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Long Prairie-Grey Eagle is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Upsala at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. After both having extra time off, Laporte and Pine River-Backus will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:45 p.m. on Thursday. The match will give the Wildcats their first taste of in-conference action this season.
