Volleyball Recap: Vanguard Find Success

After losing to Dunnellon the last time they met, Vanguard decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. The Knights came out on top in a nail-biter against the Tigers on Wednesday, sneaking past 3-2. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Knights.

Vanguard took Dunnellon into a fifth set where they got it done with a four-point win. The final score came out to 22-25, 25-20, 25-20, 20-25, 15-11.

Lazaro Abuin was nothing short of spectacular: he had 11 kills and eight blocks. Those eight blocks gave him a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Aidan Bone, who had 25 assists.

Vanguard's record is now 8-5. As for Dunnellon, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 4-9.

As of now, neither Vanguard nor the Tigers have any future games scheduled.
