Baseball Recap: Climax-Scotts Comes Up Short

After flying high against Bellevue on Thursday, Climax-Scotts came back down to earth. The Panthers fell 9-4 to the Norrix Knights on Friday. The Panthers haven't had much luck with the Knights recently, as the team has come up short the last three times they've met.

Climax-Scotts saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Gilbert, who went 1-for-4 with four stolen bases and two runs. Gilbert has been hot recently, having posted at least one stolen base the last four times he's played. Ben Nelson also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Climax-Scotts' loss dropped their record down to 3-2. As for Norrix, their win bumped their record up to 5-3.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Climax-Scotts will challenge Mendon at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Norrix, they will square off against Lakeshore at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
