Baseball Recap: Whitesboro's Loss Ends Four-Game Winning Streak on the Road

Whitesboro dropped their record down to 9-3 on Monday, which also ended the team's four-game streak of wins on the road. They fell just short of the Oswego Bucs by a score of 2-1. The matchup marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

As for Oswego, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 7-9. Those wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered a grand total of 3 runs in those games.

For Oswego's part, their victory was truly a team effort as four different players contributed at least one hit. One of them was Tom Kirwan, who went 1-for-2 with two stolen bases. Kirwan has been hot, having posted at least one stolen base the last six times he's played. Nolan Connors also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Whitesboro will head out to take on Fayetteville-Manlius at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Oswego, they will venture away from home to challenge Liverpool at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
