Softball Recap: American Comes Up Short

American was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They lost 14-2 to the Irvington Vikings. The Eagles were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Vikings apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in April of 2024.

American's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Irvington, their win was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 6-1.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. American is set to face off against their familiar foe Mission San Jose at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Irvington will take on rival Kennedy at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
