 Vicksburg entered their tilt with Columbus with three consecutive wins  but they'll enter their next game with four. They put the hurt on the Columbus Falcons with a sharp  18-12 victory on Friday. Both teams can probably skip cardio this week after making that many trips around the bases.
  Braylon Green and  Kaleb Doss made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound,  Green   pitched four innings while giving up  three earned  (and six unearned) runs off   three  hits. Meanwhile,  Doss   pitched three innings while giving up just one earned  (and two unearned) runs off   three  hits. He has been consistent recently: he hasn't  given up  more than two  walks in four consecutive pitching appearances. At the plate,  Green  scored two  runs and  stole a base while going 1-for-5, while  Doss  scored two  runs and  stole two bases while  getting on base  in three of his five plate appearances.
 In other batting news,  Tyler Carter was  incredible,  going 3-for-4 with a  home run, six  RBI,  and three  runs.  Kealon Bass was another key contributor,  scoring three  runs and  stealing four bases while  getting on base  in four of his five plate appearances.
 Vicksburg's win  ended  a  seven-game drought on the road  and  puts them at 7-15. As for Columbus, they are  on  a  five-game losing streak  that has dropped them down to 3-13.
 Both  squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Vicksburg will take on Neshoba Central at 7:00  p.m.  on Tuesday. One thing working in Vicksburg's favor is that they have posted big  run totals  in their last four games. As for Columbus, they will look to defend their home field  on Monday against Kemper County at 6:00  p.m. Kemper County is coming into the  contest with three straight  losses on the road,  meaning Columbus will have to defend against a  team hungry for a  victory.
