Softball Recap: Providence Catholic Comes Up Short

Providence Catholic was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were a single run away from ending the streak, but they lost a 3-2 heartbreaker at the hands of the Saint Mary's Hall Barons. That's two games in a row now that the Provets have lost by just one run.

Providence Catholic's defeat dropped their record down to 7-13-1. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last 11 games. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-6-1 record this season.

Providence Catholic will face off against St. Anthony at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Provets' pitchers better be ready for this one: the Yellowjackets have averaged an impressive 6.2 runs per game this season. As for Saint Mary's Hall, they will challenge Geneva at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday.
