Football Game Preview: Johnstown Sir Bills vs. Fonda-Fultonville Valley Hawks + How To Watch

Johnstown is 1-6 against Fonda-Fultonville since September of 2015 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Sir Bills will head out on the road to challenge the Valley Hawks at 7:00 p.m.

On Friday, Johnstown was beaten by Cobleskill-Richmondville 38-6. While losing is never fun, the Sir Bills can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' New York football rankings (they are ranked 354th, while the Bulldogs are ranked 148th).

Despite their loss, Johnstown saw several players rise to the challenge and make noteworthy plays. Maxx Miller, who picked up 109 receiving yards and one touchdown, was perhaps the best of all. The team also got some help courtesy of Cole Downing, who threw for 204 yards and one TD.

Meanwhile, Fonda-Fultonville strolled into their game on Friday with a perfect record and they left with the same. They blew past Coxsackie-Athens, posting a 48-14 victory. The contest marked the Valley Hawks' most dominant win of the season so far.

Johnstown now has a losing record of 1-2. As for Fonda-Fultonville, their victory bumped their record up to 4-0.

Johnstown took a serious blow against Fonda-Fultonville in their previous meeting back in October of 2024, falling 54-6. Can the Sir Bills avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
