Softball Recap: Patrick Henry Patriots vs. Glenvar Highlanders
It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Patrick Henry ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They had just enough and edged out the Glenvar Highlanders 8-7.
Arianna Williams made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, striking out seven batters over five innings while giving up just one earned (and two unearned) runs off three hits (and not a single walk). She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one walk in five consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season.
