Football Recap: Clark Comes Up Short

Clark was the 25-0 winner over Chaparral when they last played one another back in January of 2024, but their luck changed this time around. The Clark Chargers and the Chaparral Cowboys were almost perfectly matched up on Thursday, but the Clark Chargers suffered a 7-6 defeat. The Chargers just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Taedyn Parks threw for 127 yards and one touchdown. Ayari Phillips was her top target, picking up 33 receiving yards. On the ground, Ava Reed rushed for 59 yards.

Clark's defeat dropped their record down to 4-13. As for Chaparral, their win bumped their record up to 4-2.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Clark will host Desert Pines at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Clark is facing Desert Pines at the right time seeing as Desert Pines is stuck on a four-game losing streak. As for Chaparral, they will welcome Canyon Springs at 4:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
