Softball Recap: Prairie Central Comes Up Short

After flying high against St. Thomas More last Thursday, Prairie Central came back down to earth. The Hawks took a 7-4 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Lexington Minutemen on Saturday. If the Hawks were looking for revenge after losing 5-0 to the Minutemen when the teams met back in May of 2024, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Kate Slagel made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and scored a run and stole a base while going 4-for-4.

Prairie Central's defeat dropped their record down to 5-7. As for Lexington, the win got them back to even at 6-6.

Coincidentally, Prairie Central and Lexington will both be playing Bismarck-Henning/Rossville-Alvin the next time they take the field. The Minutemen will head out to face the Blue Devils at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday, while the Hawks will play them later in the day, at 2:00 p.m.
