Football Game Recap: Shorecrest vs. Snohomish

It may have taken overtime to finish the job, but Snohomish ultimately got the result it was hoping for on Friday. They managed a somewhat close 33-27 win over Shorecrest. That's another feather in the cap for Snohomish, who also won these teams' last head-to-head.

Snohomish's offense rushed out of the gates and came up with 21 first-half points. Shorecrest wasn't quite able to keep up, scoring 7 to make it 21-7 heading into the break. Snohomish were outperformed in the second half 6-20 but had enough in reserve to walk away with the win. The victory bumped their record up to 3-2. The defeat dropped Shorecrest's record to 3-2.

Next week Snohomish take on Edmonds-Woodway at Snohomish HS at 7:00 PM. Edmonds-Woodway took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Snohomish's good fortune. As for Shorecrest, they will face off against Stanwood. Given that they both suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this contest.
