Basketball Recap: Poolesville Takes a Loss

After flying high against Watkins Mill last Tuesday, Poolesville came back down to earth. The Poolesville Falcons took a hard 43-29 fall against the Damascus Hornets on Friday. The Falcons have struggled against the Hornets recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost matchup.

Poolesville's defeat dropped their record down to 7-6. As for Damascus, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six games, which provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Coming up, Poolesville will challenge Northwest on Monday. Poolesville is facing Northwest at the right time seeing as Northwest is stuck on a 13-game losing streak. As for Damascus, they will take on Rockville on Monday. Rockville will roll in looking for their fourth straight win, something Damascus surely won't give up without a fight.
