Volleyball Recap: Cherokee Starts Season with Loss at Home

Cherokee unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They fell 3-1 to the River Ridge Knights on Tuesday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Warriors of the 2-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in August of 2024.

While Cherokee ultimately came up short, they didn't go down without a fight: they scored at least 17 points in every set they played. The final score came out to 25-17, 25-21, 21-25, 25-17.

Coming up, Cherokee will take on Cartersville in a tournament on Friday. As for River Ridge, they will be taking part in a tournament against South Forsyth at 5:30 p.m. on Friday.
