Football Recap: Brenham Falls Short of Randle in the Playoffs

Brenham and Randle squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but Brenham had to settle for second. They took a hard 28-14 fall against the Randle Lions. The match marked the Cubs' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

When it comes to explaining why Brenham lost, don't look at Chris Guidry. Despite the final result, he picked up 180 receiving yards and one touchdown. The dominant performance gave Guidry a new career-high in receiving yards.

A big part of Randle's victory came down to the chemistry between Tyler Skrabanek and his top target Jaxon Montelongo. Skrabanek threw for 151 yards and two touchdowns while completing 71.4% of his passes while Montelongo picked up 36 receiving yards and one touchdown.
