Mountain View proved they can win big on Saturday (they won by 13) and on Monday they proved they can win the close ones too. They sure made it a nail-biter, but they managed to escape with a 9-8 victory over the Greeley Central Wildcats. The win continues a trend for the Mountain Lions in their matchups with the Wildcats: they've now won seven in a row.

The team relied heavily on August Engel, who got on base in three of his four plate appearances with two RBI and one run. The team also got some help courtesy of Jevin Dorcey, who went 1-for-3 with two runs.

Mountain View's victory bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Greeley Central, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-9.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming contests. Mountain View will venture away from home to challenge Fort Collins at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Greeley Central, they will head out to square off against Wellington at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
