Volleyball Recap: Pentucket Regional vs. Nipmuc Regional Warriors

After flying high against Belchertown last Friday, Pentucket Regional came back down to earth. Pentucket Regional fell just short of the Nipmuc Regional Warriors by a score of 3-2 on Sunday. The result was an unpleasant reminder to Pentucket Regional of the 3-2 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture last Thursday.

Pentucket Regional took a 2-1 lead headed into the fourth set, but sadly they lost the next two. The match finished with set scores of 21-25, 25-17, 17-25, 28-26, 15-8.

Even though they lost, Pentucket Regional was lethal from the service line and finished the game with 13 aces. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Nipmuc Regional only served ten.

Pentucket Regional's defeat dropped their record down to 13-7. As for Nipmuc Regional, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 19-3.

Pentucket Regional does not have any more games scheduled as of now. As for Nipmuc Regional, they and Bishop Fenwick are set to duel on Wednesday. Bishop Fenwick is coming into the match with three straight wins on the road, so Nipmuc Regional will have to stop a team with plenty of momentum.
