Volleyball Recap: Manitowoc Lincoln's Run of Four Straight Victories Now Over

It was a good run, but Manitowoc Lincoln unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Saturday. They fell just short of the Bay Port Pirates by a score of 2-1. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Ships of the 3-1 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2024.

Despite the defeat, Manitowoc Lincoln saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Samantha Raymakers had five digs and three aces.

Leading Bay Port to victory were Madison Lebeau and Ayla Colombo. Lebeau had nine digs and three aces, while Colombo had five digs and two aces. That's the most aces Lebeau has posted over her last five matches. Keira Lynch also deserves some recognition as she had her first block of the season.

Manitowoc Lincoln's loss dropped their record down to 17-15. As for Bay Port, they are on a roll lately: they've won nine of their last ten contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season.

Manitowoc Lincoln didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 2-0 defeat against Kimberly on the 4th. Hopefully Bay Port paid attention to the Ships' match: the next time they hit the field, they'll take on the Ships at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
