If the Loomis Wolves were riding high off their 69-36 takedown of the Franklin Flyers last Tuesday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Loomis took a 54-43 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Spartans on Tuesday. Loomis has struggled against the Spartans recently, as their game on Tuesday was their third consecutive lost matchup.

Loomis' loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ben Trompke, who scored 17 points along with six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Cale Nelson, who scored 12 points.

Loomis' loss dropped their record down to 10-8. As for Ansley/Litchfield, their victory bumped their record up to 12-3.

Loomis will head out on the road to square off against the Wildcats at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Ansley/Litchfield is on the road again on Friday and plays the Buffaloes at 8:00 p.m. on February 2nd. Elm Creek will be looking to extend their current nine-game winning streak.
