Basketball Recap: St. Henry's Losing Streak Snapped at Five Games

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Marion Local, St. Henry was happy to have turned things around on Saturday. They enjoyed a cozy 53-38 victory over the Celina Bulldogs. The win was some much needed relief for the Redskins as it spelled an end to their five-game losing streak.

St. Henry was led to victory by Jack Huelsman and Charlie Werling. Huelsman went 5 of 9 on his way to 13 points, while Werling went 5 for 10 en route to 13 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Brayden Heath, who posted seven points and six boards.

St. Henry's victory ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 7-11. As for Celina, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 4-13 record this season.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Henry has already played their next contest (against Parkway), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing. Celina will venture away from home to take on Lima Central Catholic at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The teams are on pretty different trajectories at the moment (Lima Central Catholic has five straight wins, Celina has four straight losses), but none of that matters once you're on the court.
