Softball Recap: Desert Ridge Takes a Tough Playoff Loss

Desert Ridge and Shadow Ridge squared off in some playoff action on Wednesday, but Desert Ridge had to settle for second. They fell just short of the Stallions by a score of 6-5.

Halle Davis made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-4 with one home run, two runs, and one double. Another player making a difference was Brooklyn Johnson, who went 2-for-4 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one run.

Desert Ridge has traveled a rocky road recently, having lost six of their last eight contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 18-12 record this season. As for Shadow Ridge, they are on a roll lately: they've won eight of their last nine matches. That's provided a massive bump to their 17-9-1 record this season.

As of now, neither Desert Ridge nor Shadow Ridge have any future games scheduled.
