Softball Game Preview: Eagle Mountain Knights vs. Lake Worth Bullfrogs

The Eagle Mountain Knights are taking a road trip to square off against the Lake Worth Bullfrogs at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Eagle Mountain will be strutting in after a victory while Lake Worth will be coming in after a defeat.

Eagle Mountain took a loss when they played away from home on Tuesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Friday. They walked away with a 4-1 win over Burkburnett.

Zoe Hawthorne was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Kelsey James also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.

Meanwhile, Lake Worth was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their tenth straight loss. They lost 19-0 to Decatur.

Eagle Mountain's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 10-11-1. A key ingredient in that success has been their performance when it comes to hits: they averaged an imposing 9.75 hits in those games compared to only 4.56 in the others. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-14.

Eagle Mountain took their win against Lake Worth in their previous meeting on March 5th by a conclusive 10-0. The rematch might be a little tougher for Eagle Mountain since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
